Lasita Maja LTD is an Estonian based company with a main manufacturing site in Tartu. We have been manufacturing log cabins since 1998 and have been steadily growing ever since. This allowed us to establish a new, state of the art 6,000 m2 manufacturing site in 2011.
Since 2019 Lasita Maja is owned by Outdoor Llife Group. The company introduction is here.
We have over 200 employees in 3 different factories and we produce over 40,000 quality buildings per year.
Three different factories enable us to make very different log cabin designs in 19 / 21 / 28 / 34 / 40 / 44 / 70 or 92 mm wall thicknesses, varying from sheds, summerhouses, saunas, pavilions, garages and children playhouses up to special bespoke buildings for our best customers. There are over 300 different designs in our standard range plus countless numbers of bespoke projects, which illustrates our commitment to our customers.
Customer satisfaction is our first priority, backed by our strict quality standards. On 27th November, 2007 LRQA issued the quality management certificate ISO 9001. The
FSC® C004251
certificate is the proof of our environment friendly production policy, our eco-friendly timber management policy and our responsibility for the future.
Certificates
For the sake of the client’s peace of mind, we pay great attention to quality, and as a proof of this, LRQA issued ISO 9001 quality management certificate to Lasita Maja on 29 November 2007.
We use Nordic timber in the production of our garden houses. Wood is a renewable raw material and its versatility makes it the best material for building garden and summer houses. Nordic timber grows slowly in cool climates, which ensures its high quality and reliability. The cool climate makes the structure of the wood strong and durable, while preserving its aesthetic appearance.
We support ecological and responsible forest management, which is why we also offer our customers garden houses made from raw materials certified by FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification), if so requested.
PEFC™ (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) is an international forest certification scheme that promotes sustainable forest management based on a holistic approach that takes into consideration ecological, social and economic criteria. During forest certification, the sustainable management and use of forests is verified. A product with a PEFC-certified material trademark and/or label assures businesses and consumers that the raw materials used to produce that product come from sustainably managed forests. The global objective of forest certification is to reduce the uncontrolled exploitation of forests in third countries.
NCS-PEFC-COC-001018 certificate can be found here.
FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) is an international non-profit organisation established in 1993 to promote responsible forest management worldwide. An FSC-labelled product comes from a responsibly managed forest where the natural environment, communities and economic
viability are equally valued. Certification of the supply chain allows companies to prove that the timber used in their production comes from sustainably managed forests, monitoring economic, environmental and social aspects.
At the societal level, it is important for the FSC that indigenous
peoples have the right to use and manage lands that have historically
belonged to them. The organization respects the rights of employees,
freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining. The
employment relationship of all employees is free, all forms of forced
labor and the use of child labor in the company are prohibited.
Lasita Maja has been FSC certified since 2009.
